This Privacy Policy explains how Energy Site collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use energy-site.com.
Who We Are

- Octopus account details that you choose to connect, including account identifiers, property identifiers, meter identifiers, meter point numbers, meter serial numbers, tariff agreements, detected region, and electricity import, electricity export, and gas usage data.

Lawful Basis
Where UK GDPR or applicable data protection law applies, we rely on lawful bases including contract or requested service, legitimate interests in operating and improving the website, consent for optional cookies or communications, and compliance with legal obligations.
Octopus Energy
If you connect an Octopus account, your API key is used to call Octopus Energy services on your behalf. You can disconnect an Octopus account in Account Options. When disconnecting, you can choose to retain stored usage history or permanently delete the connection and its stored meter and usage data.
Sharing Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers who help host, secure, send email, process payments, back up, or operate the website. We may also share information where required by law or to protect the website and its users.
Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required for legal, accounting, security, or operational reasons. Free accounts may be limited to a shorter period of stored usage history, while Premium features may retain more history. You can request deletion using the contact form.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to be informed, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also be able to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can make a request using the contact form.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including password hashing and encryption of Octopus API keys. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
